Our Story

Okay, here it goes.....

I was divorced in June 2005, so I wasn't looking for a serious relationship by any means. Not that there weren't opportunities, everyone wants to set you up when your single. My brother, cousin, co-worker, even my car salesman had a buddy he wanted to set me up with. Anyway, in September 2005 I was at work when we had a service engineer come in to work on our UPS(backup power supply). This was the first time I ever met Dean. I thought to myself wow he's a nice hot young looking guy. He was there probably there less than an hour and was finished....bummer. About 10 minutes after he left, our UPS blew up, there was a loud bang, a puff of smoke, and an odor. So, we called him back right away. I like to think that he rigged it to blow up so he would have to come back and see me. :) He ended up staying the rest of the day working on it. He needed to go to radio shack for something, which is right down Bay road, can't get lost, however my supervisor insisted that I go with him so he wouldn't get lost. Not obvious or anything.... Anyway, he took me out to lunch, so right off the bat he got to see my eating habits. A couple hours later.....boom something else blew up. He ended up ordering parts to have there the next day, which was a Saturday, and SOMEONE needed to go in to work with him. So I volunteered! :) We were there just about all of Saturday, and he took me out to dinner at TGI Fridays. At the end of the night, we exchanged business cards and said goodbye. We emailed a couple times, about work stuff mainly. Then about a month later he called me out of the blue. That night we went out on our first official, non work related date. We planned on going to a movie, but the one we wanted to see was sold out, so we rented a movie and went back to his house.

From there on we dated, and a couple months later he even helped start remodeling my basement. That was a big project, but it was kind of fun working together.

After a few months I met his family, and soon after Jacob...that was huge step! On June 23rd, 2006 he proposed....I said YES!! Then December 15, 2006 we were married in LaJolla, CA.

We are now expecting our little princess in May, we are so excited!! We have learned a lot about and from each other in the past couple of years, and our relationship continues to grow.

A new belly pic at 22 weeks.

I tag my sister Sarah to tell her story. :)

Cheboygan's New Year's Baby

This is the first peak I've had so far of my newest nephew. He made is debut in the local Cheboygan Tribune! He was the first baby of 2008 in Cheboygan, so they did a story on him, which you can read here: http://cheboygannews.com/articles/2008/01/04/news/news4.txt.
Kyle is happy about the benefits that come along with that. Liam was given a savings bond in his name by the Tribune. You guys look so cute, can't wait to see your little family!!!!! I will post many pictures of him when we get back from our visit. I'm such a proud aunt!! :)

Baby Johnston Named!

My new little nephew's name is Liam James Johnston. Still don't have any pictures yet, but I will get to see him in person on Friday! I'm sure Kyle will post some pictures as soon as he gets a chance.

I'm an aunt....again!

My sister FINALLY had her little baby boy Tuesday night. She was induced at 7:30am that morning. They haven't decided on a name quite yet, but he was 8lbs 14.25oz, 21.25 inches long, a pretty good size boy. He was too big for the newborn diapers! Mom and baby are both doing well as far as I know. I can't wait to meet my newest nephew...hopefully this weekend. Of course I will take lots of pictures to post!

Congratulations Sarah and Kyle!!!
